How many times has someone told you that? How did it make you feel? Your stomach in knots. Your legs shaking. Eye contact non-existent. You have a decision on your hands. A decision to make that changes the course of your life. It impacts your friendships. Your family. And your career. Entrepreneurs face this feeling everyday.
Should I jump or should I take a few steps back? And what about my team, my investors, and my company? How will this decision impact all of them? Sometimes, you're able to control the impact. Other times, you have to roll with the punches.
Decision making is scary. Even if you're not an entrepreneur.
One right (or wrong) decision impacts everything. But you have to make a decision. You have to execute. Otherwise, you're left with the status quo.
Don't like where you are? Do something else. Don't like your job? Get a new one. Don't like how your best friend is being treated in his/her relationship? Tell them. The world would be a much better place if people made decisions. Why?
Indecisiveness shows weakness.
Be strong. Be confident. And be comfortable with the decisions you're making. When faced with a decision, pick one solution. If it's the wrong one, fix it. If it's the right one, ride the wave of success. You executed. You pushed your life forward. You pushed your company forward. Doesn't it feel good to have finally made a decision?
Make another one. Right now. And then make someone else make a decision. Yeah, it sucks, but the feeling of being DONE is so worth it.
Now, what are you going to do?
